Quartz sand

Quartz sand is a hard, wear-resistant and chemically stable silicate mineral. Its main mineral composition is SiO2. The color of quartz sand is milky white or colorless translucent, with a hardness of 7, brittle and uncleavage, shell shaped fracture, oil luster, and relative density of 2.65, and its chemical, thermal and mechanical properties have obvious hetero direction. It is insoluble in acid, slightly soluble in KOH solution, and melting point is 1750 degrees.
